I designed a series of fake Corporate identities that were used throughout the game. These appeared in the frontend (as event sponsors), on ship liveries and in the environments to help give them depth. Some were from previous wipEout games such as pure & Pulse that were developed to use on HD. (The Japanese Energy Drink Character was from an original concept drawing by Jon Eggleton of which I turned into a logo.)
